Privacy Policy

Air Hockey has no accounts and no tracking. To see how the game is played and what to improve, the app sends anonymous usage statistics to our own server: which modes are played, how matches end, how long sessions last. Nothing it sends says who you are, and we delete it after 25 months.
Who we are
Air Hockey is made by Oxyloop, which is responsible for the data described here. For anything in this policy, write to [email protected].
What the app sends
- A random install ID. The app makes it up the first time it runs. It is not your device's identifier, your Apple ID or an advertising identifier, and deleting the app deletes it: a reinstall starts with a new one.
- About the device: the platform (iOS), the system version, the model (for example "iPhone15,2"), the app's version, the language and region settings, and the screen size.
- What happens in the app: when it is opened, when a session starts and ends and how long it lasted, changes to the sound, haptics and difficulty settings, and for each match its mode, difficulty, table size, score, how it ended, how long it took, how many times the puck was hit and how often it was paused.
- Online rooms: when a room is created, joined and closed, why it closed, its table size, and how many goals and matches were played in it.
From the network request itself we keep only the country it came from, which our network provider works out from the request. We do not store IP addresses.
What we never collect
Your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, advertising identifier, or anything you could be identified by. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, or sell or share data with anyone for their own use.
Online play
An online match is relayed by our server between the two phones in the room: the positions of the mallets and the puck, the score and the room code. These messages are passed on as they arrive and are not stored. Only the room summary above is kept.
Why, and on what basis
We use these statistics to understand how Air Hockey is played, to balance the computer opponents, and to find and fix problems. We rely on our legitimate interest in improving the game (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR), which these statistics serve without telling us who you are.
Where it is kept, and who else sees it
The statistics are stored on a server we run ourselves. Traffic to it passes through Cloudflare, which protects and delivers our website and server and sees network requests as part of doing so; Cloudflare acts on our behalf and does not use them for its own purposes. No one else receives the data.
How long
Usage data is deleted automatically 25 months after it was recorded.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete data about you, and to object to its use. Because nothing we hold tells us who you are, we usually cannot tell which records are yours. Deleting the app ends collection and breaks the link between you and anything already sent. If you write to us, we will help however we can. You can also complain to the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).
Children
Air Hockey is suitable for all ages. Because it collects nothing that identifies anyone, it collects no personal information from children either.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new date. A change that sends more than described above will be announced in the app before it happens.
